From your information to a testable direction.
Fairway Fit uses defined fitting rules to turn your answers or measured shots into equipment directions and comparisons. The strength of the conclusion depends on the evidence.
Start with the question you want to answer
The quiz considers your fitting targets, goals, existing equipment, ball-flight descriptions, measurements, and budget. These inputs help establish which characteristics are worth testing. Unknown specifications remain a reason to verify the current club, not a reason to invent them.
The same retained inputs and application version produce the same fitting result. The engine is deterministic; the published guides do not change its scoring rules.
Separate a shortlist from a measured comparison
Self-reported answers support an initial direction. They do not measure club delivery, impact location, or actual shot dispersion. Even a sensible quiz recommendation still needs to be compared with your current or reference build.
The measured-session path records builds, conditions, and shots. It checks data quality and comparison evidence before making stronger claims. Six usable shots per build can support a provisional direction in eligible comparisons; reaching that count alone does not make a build purchase-ready.
A stronger conclusion requires the application’s controlled-validation checks. Review the limitations and next-test instructions in your own report. If the comparison is incomplete, collect the missing evidence instead of reading confidence into a precise-looking number.
Match products to the direction
Fit requirements lead catalogue eligibility and ranking. Handedness, category, relevant specifications, and budget affect the available candidates. Optional brand preferences are bounded and secondary to fit; they are not an instruction to recommend an unsuitable club.
The ownership catalogue can include older equipment that is not eligible for a new recommendation. You can still describe a club manually when its exact model is missing. Product links and photographs identify candidates; they do not prove a performance gain.
Understand the evidence behind the rules
The project includes fitting research notes, explicit uncertainty records, and automated checks of input handling, catalogue matching, and measured comparisons. Those software checks help verify intended behaviour. They are not an independent clinical study, a professional credential, or proof of improved scores.
The fitting guides cite their external sources and distinguish manufacturer guidance from illustrative comparisons. Static measurements and general tendencies remain starting points when the golfer’s measured response is missing.
Keep a record you can review
Drafts stay in browser storage on your device. Print the report or explicitly export a session when you want a portable copy. Review the player name and other details before sharing. There is no account-based backup, and a different device will not automatically have your session.
Before buying, confirm the exact assembled build, current specifications and price, and whether the improvement repeats under the conditions you play. Use the fitting preparation checklist to organise that conversation.
